Theo left home to strike out on his own and get out from under his overbearing mother who put all her expectations on him as he was the oldest, and most responsible of her 3 sons. Worked on cargo ships as a way to get easy passage to new places. A lack of money or proper documents led him to falling in with piratical crews raiding merchant vessels around the Gelgassa and Snæken coasts. After a few years Theo decided he'd had enough of that life, and at a port skipped town and left to the Caldera where he has settled down ever since, taking over a

Theo has always been a private person, but his time pirating and living on the move loosened him up a little bit and gave him a great deal of streetwise intuition. At this point Theo is mostly over excitment, having seen how often things go wrong, and is quite content to live quietly.
